Ya es tiempo. The stones of Heaven

Ya es tiempo. Le pietre del paradiso

When the history becomes a novel, but the dates, the events and protagonists do not change, it doubles its charm and page after page it offers you lessons about the present and warnings regarding the future.
We do not have to make the same mistakes. We have to save the ideals, to transmit the messages, and the universal values that while the passing of the centuries teach us so much.
The history must be contemporary - as differently warned Manzoni and Croce.
Mario Emanuele Bianchetti knows that very well, he is a doctor and an indisputable intellectual, which choose the history to look into the meanings of the ancient time and revitalize those valid teachings for the third millennium.
Ya es tiempo. The stones of Heaven. The chronicle informs about ten crucial days at the end of 1545, the year in which the Council of Trento shook the whole world. This fact in Europe today is still remarkable.
Those days in the setting of Castle Madruzzo, the ancient manor built at the foot of Bondone Mountin in Trento, where the Council was organized, has been telling by Mr Bianchetti as extraordinary ones. He refers to facts and people that were streaming very quickly in this scenery highlighting the charming figure of Cardinal Cristoforo Madruzzo.
Christoforo Madruzzo, Prince of the Church of Rome and the owner of the homonym Castle, was a friend of Charles V, the most powerful man of that time. Charles V for his whole existence had the dream of a united and peaceful world. "Ya es tiempo" the phrase used as a title of the book, is the same phrase that the King pronounced when he passed away. Bianchetti uses these words, in order to obtain from the historical investigation, an ecumenical, civil and religious message.
For some people the expression simply means the leaving of an important man from the world: "ya es tiempo" as "it's time to die," but the book’s author emphasizes the actual meaning of love and unity addressed to the whole humanity.
"It's a novel - says Bianchetti – because of the strong needs of universatility, with the conviction that religion should be a reason for unity and not division." Therefore, the book has a double meaning: the historical one, exciting and fascinating, fully detailed and with some curiosities, and the philosophical one, able to teach, still valid today and which should be valid tomorrow. That is the dream of the great King..
