Our aims and efforts are directed towards countries where there is still a great need of assistance for people suffering from easily curable diseases. These diseases worsen because of lack of suitable medical care along with depression, loneliness, and hygiene deficiency conditions of the population.
Characteristics and guidelines
The Purpose The purpose is the realization of a Service able to provide psychosocial and medical care, with a strong humanitarian vision, for those people who are not entirely autonomous, but are gradually recovering.
Prospective Areas of the Service In the Mediterranean and in the West Africa areas, although there are already a national health service with no-profit healthcare structures, the need of assistance is still strong, for those people suffering from easily curable diseases. These diseases worsen because of lack of suitable medical care along with depression, loneliness, and hygiene deficiency conditions of the population.
Purpose This project is specifically humanitarian although it provides psychosocial and medical assistance. Therefore it has a strong social implication in assisting people who have few survival chances due to their socio-economic status, the precarious health condition and the difficult environmental situation. These needs have not yet been fully satisfied by the current public or private infrastructures.
Description
By creating a complex but “light” structure, able to help many people we would be reaching out to the current National Health System, which lacks the proper structural characteristics in this geographical area. This well-defined network of selected areas intends to help the National Health Facilities, if any, allowing their better use and understanding and giving significant value to the quality of the current Public Healthcare. The project will use appropriate healthcare and up-dated facilities. The staff will be active and skilled, such as young doctors, psychologists, nurses, healthcare assistants, volunteers, and specialized personnel in agriculture, zoology, forestry, environmental sciences, teachers of foreign languages and general culture. In this way, the project includes a large variety of subjects giving the possibility to many young people to participate to the socio-cultural development of these countries and promote the aim of the Foundation.
